BUILDING CONTROL (ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY)
(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2021
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 49 of the Building Control Act, the Minister for National Development makes the following Regulations:
These Regulations are the Building Control (Environmental Sustainability) (Amendment) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 1 December 2021.
Regulation 3(1) of the Building Control (Environmental Sustainability) Regulations 2008 (G.N. No. S 199/2008) is amended by deleting the words “2,000 square metres” in sub-paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) and substituting in each case the words “5,000 square metres”.
Regulation 3(1) of the Building Control (Environmental Sustainability) Regulations 2008 as in force immediately before 1 December 2021 continues to apply, as if regulation 2 had not been made, to building works in respect of which an application for planning permission is submitted to the competent authority under the Planning Act (Cap. 232) before that date.
